Chaldean Jason Jarboe Drives the Cajon Classic Cruise

California, USA – Chaldeans living in Detroit, Michigan may feel they are close to the heart of the automotive world.  If that is the case, then Chaldeans in El Cajon, California would rightly consider themselves the lungs; breathing air back into the passion of classic car ownership.

For Jason Jarboe classic cars has been a passion since he sat in his father’s lap and held on a steering wheel. “My dad and I would watch the dream cruise every year.  When our family moved to California I was bummed out.  So instead of mope about missing cars I would hang out with friends and supe-up classic cars.  All the different auto shops formed a small network and together with other we pushed to start a car cruise in Cajon”

Jarboe has been helping to lead the Cajon Classic Cruise.  Now in their 8th season the Cajon Classic Cruise features a different theme each night of specialty vehicles, entertainment, car clubs, sidewalk vendors, free raffles, and the prestigious and coveted trophy presentation.  “We have oldies being played by city favorite Dr. DJ and All Around Mobile Music,” says Jarboe.

The cruise offers five months of theme based car spectacular showings.  Beginning in July and showcasing every month, but the month of November. Jarboe feels the weekly car theme is the key to the success of the cruise.   “We will run every Wednesday in July, August, and September and then once in October for Halloween and December for Christmas.  This is a family friendly event that everyone can enjoy.”

The East County Gazette will publish photos of the weekly winners.  Winners and those who participate in the trophy presentation can visit the El Cajon information booth during the car show at Sulzfeld and Main the following week, to pick up their free photo, courtesy of professional photographer Pete Liebig.

Chaldean businesses interested in sponsorship or vending during the event can e-mail CarShow@chaldean.org

Fans can also show their support for the Cajon Classic Cruise by purchasing an authentic Cajon Classic Cruise hat.  The hat is only $15 and is on sale at the event, as well as online.  “This is a wonderful opportunity for Chaldeans to show their support of the Cajon Classic Cruise,” says Jarboe.
