Michigan Flint Police Officer Convicted of Assault on Chaldean Businessman

Michigan, USA - Failing to protect an serve a Flint police officer allowed the power of her badge to go to far.  The police officer was convicted this past Friday of assaulting a Chaldean businessman.

Police Officer Esther E. Ross, 33, faces up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine when sentenced on the assault and battery conviction Oct. 26 before Central District Judge Richard L. Hughes.

In addition, to the possible civil lawsuit both Ross and the Flint police station face for police brutality

According to court records and testimony, the incident occurred back in March 17 about 7:30 p.m. at the Sunoco station, 1117 S. Belsay Road in Burton, Michigan, a suburb outside of Flint.

Long time businessman Jimmy Kashat, testified that police officer Ross violently and abusively pummeled and pushed him in the chest during an argument at his business parking lot.
