Chaldean Words of Wisdom
A Sunday school class of Chaldean kindergartners were studying the creation story. After several weeks, they were ready to review. "What did God make the first day?" the teacher quizzed. "The second day?" They answered both questions correctly. "And what happened on the third day?" I asked. One little Chaldean child, face shining with enthusiasm, exclaimed, "He rose from the dead!"

Long after the last cow has come home
(A.J. DiCintio) - For some inexplicable reason, Governor Mark Sanford feels a compulsion to keep his media confessional sessions going as hot and heavy as his illicit affairs, despite the fact that in doing so he succeeds only in compounding the injury he has done to so many, foremost, his wife, his children, the people of his state, and his office...

Has American independence come full circle on the 4th of July?
(JR Dieckmann) - For 232 years, Americans have celebrated our freedom and independence from oppressive rule and restrictive control over our lives on the 4th of July. Of flies and men: the bizarre world of PETA
(Paul A. Ibbetson) - "Save the whales, save the snails!" Comedian George Carlin had it right when he talked about the audacity and craziness of some to misplace priorities on where to put a helping hand when it comes to people and the planet. When it comes to organizations that 'break from the norm' the most, when balancing the value between people and animals, PETA has to be near the top of the list...

Why isn't America hiring?
(Jerry Bowyer) - Today we saw the release of two piece of important employment data: the Challenger, Gray & Christmas monthly survey of lay-offs and the Monster Employment Index which measures on-line want ads.
