CCSL 2008 Basketball Team Stats  

Chaldean Church Sports League

Chaldean Church Sports League announces the opening of the 2009 CCSL Basketball season.  CCSL basketball season will include four divisions. 

  • Middle School Boys ages 10-13
  • High School Boys Ages 14 - 18
  • Middle School Girls ages 10-13 
  • High School Boys Girls 14 - 18

Official game play begins January 25 and runs consecutive weeks every Sunday.  All games will be played on at the Boys and Girls Club of South Oakland County Gymnasiam.

All church coordinators, coaches, coaching staff, booster members, parents, and players are asked to review the documents and adopted game rules located to the right prior to contracting with a team.

Any comments or questions can be e-mailed to CCSL@Chaldean.org. Mother of God Church is serving as the hosting administrative church for the league during the 2008-2010 season.

The elected CCSL director for the 2008-2010 term is Dr. Natham Karumi.

Mar Addai Healers and St. Joseph Protectors Face-Off in the 2008 CCSL High School Soccer Championships

Chaldeans interested in being a part of the Chaldean Church Sports League can e-mail CCSL@Chaldean.org.  The league is over 500 strong and growing.  CCSL invites top community athletes, coaches, managers, administrators, and fans to join their local Chaldean parish CCSL team. 

The Chaldean Church Sports League includes team and individual competition in basketball, soccer, volleyball, flag football, table-tennis, bowling, chess, backgammon, and video games. 

On Saturday, September 6th, 2008 the top church volleyball teams in the High School and Young Adult divisions compete for the championship title.  The event will also be held at the Southfield Michigan Municipal Complex in Southfield, Michigan.  Teams will begin warming up at 9 a.m. and compete until early afternoon for the championship title.

Other competitive games are also being considered to the catalog of CCSL organized events like, doge ball, wrestling, car racing, and floor hockey.  If readers have suggestions for a game or sport item that should be included CCSL is asking that you e-mail the league.

MISSION

The Chaldean Church Sports League is a diocese wide effort to help inspire the faithful through the spirit of sports and games.  In a safe and competitive sport environment the CCSL helps guide athletes along on their quest to victory through Christ.   The CCSL offers our community a wonderful opportunity for us all to come together and strengthen our mind, body, and soul by way of an energetic and lively sporting event dedicated to our Lord and Savior.
